Feb. 27, 2024, 6:23 p.m. - Richard was a gem, but alas the service station was shut. We've been dropped at the nearest petrol station, and I'll keep it 💯, it's not looking good bruv. But the hallos are flowing out and the thumb is up - hopefully someone's going north!
Feb. 27, 2024, 4:07 p.m. - Saved. We were feeling tired, destitute and honestly pretty sick of this whole hitchhiking business. But Richard appeared, muttering German and now speaking beautiful English. God bless Richard. He's got his deaf and blind son (?) and watching them communicate is pretty damn cool. Cruising towards towards north Hamburg!

Feb. 27, 2024, 6:18 a.m. - After a lovely night of (horizontal!) sleeping we are off to tackle Germany.
Feb. 26, 2024, 7:06 p.m. - Okay okay okay, a teeny weeny lift. Fascinating guy, whenever someone's says "I'm not a racist , but" you know that they are going to say something definitively racist. But anyway, we are tuckered up in the cheapest hostel charity can buy and eagerly await a warm shower and soft pillow. 5 countries one day!!!
